چکیده
A 43-year-old symptomatic woman (dyspnea and palpitation) had multiple coronary-pulmonary artery fistulae with high output; percutaneous embolization was successfully performed using controlled-release microcoils and disposable balloons.

Dilated cardiomyopathy caused by a coronary-pulmonary fistula treated successfully with coil embolization.
We describe a case of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) caused by a coronary-pulmonary fistula and myocardial ischemia induced by the coronary steal phenomenon, which was successfully treated with coil embolization. Coronary fistulae and coronary-steal-induced ischemia are rare causes of DCM in adults with normal coronary arteries. Percutaneous treatment represents an alternative to surgery and may ...
متن کاملSuccessful percutaneous closure of a tortuous coronary artery to pulmonary artery fistula using the anchor technique: a different approach
Coronary artery fistula (CAF) is described as an anomalous connection between a coronary artery and a major vessel or cardiac chamber. It can result in myocardial ischemia, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, bacterial endocarditis, and rupture of aneurysmal vessels [1]. The majority of these fistulae originate from the left anterior descending artery or from the right coronary artery [2]. S...

Malta Medical Journal Volume 27 Issue 01 2015 Abstract Coronary artery fistulae involve a communication between a coronary artery and a heart chamber or part of the pulmonary circulation. Most are asymptomatic and discovered incidentally, whilst larger ones may cause coronary steal syndrome. Fistulae may produce continuous murmurs and are diagnosed at echocardiography or angiography. Treatment ...
متن کاملBilateral pulmonary arteriovenous fistulae treated with balloon embolization.
A patient with bilateral pulmonary arteriovenous fistulae is described who was treated successfully by embolization of the two fistulae with detachable balloons introduced percutaneously through the femoral vein.
متن کاملTranscatheter embolization in the treatment of coronary artery fistulas.
Seven patients with a coronary artery fistula underwent percutaneous transcatheter embolization (five were male and two female; the age range was 2 to 67 years [median 17]). Three patients were symptomatic. The left to right shunt ranged from 1.6 to 2.6:1. In six patients, the fistula was an isolated congenital anomaly; in one, it was acquired. The fistula arose from branches of the left (n = 5...
